Welcome to SOFThinking Newsletter No. 7. This week, SOFThinking Newsletter offers tools to strengthen your abilities to create websites and blogs. Indeed, you will need to open and update accounts paypal payment, develop blogs compétititifs, understand the terms and conditions of your web hosting and domain names.
Although you will be told time and time again that you do not need a website of your own, actually you will be 99% better off if you do have one. It will open up doors that you can’t imagine right now, but later down the road, everything from blogging, to building a base of leads to sell to, to reselling products will be a whole lot simpler if you get “hosting”.
One of the most well known host is “Hostgator” where you can pick up a hosted account for just dollars per month. At this point you can choose any level of service you wish, but I’d recommend anything above the most basic level.
There are other well known names as well such as GoDaddy, but in general I’d recommend Hostgator because more Internet Marketers use that more than any other host, which may come into play down the road in terms of compatibility issues. Before signing up, think up a unique domain name for your website. It should be fairly broad in scope in case you shift focus. For instance, if you name the site BestWebsitesTipsOnEarth.og, and then decide to switch to a focus on Gardening, Blogging, or Twitter as your “niche”, then you’ll need a new name! Instead try TheBestDigitalProducts.com or something like that. Generic. Should you only choose .org? and not .net, or .me, or .org, .com, etc? Well, most folks remember .com or .org the best, but that is hard to answer. I mostly get .com or .org myself and add “MY” or “YOUR” to the beginning of the name to make it unique.
I usually use Hostgator when purchasing a domain name.

Cette fois-ci, nous vous parlons des noms de domaine et de l’hébergement par votre propre site web. Peut-être qu’il vous arrivera d’entendre fréquemment que vous n’avez pas besoin de posséder un site ou que cela n’est pas primordial ; mais c’est le meilleur choix que vous pourriez faire. En effet, cela vous ouvrira les portes beaucoup plus que vous ne pouvez actuellement l’imaginer, aujourd’hui et plus tard, en cours de route, à l’occasion de vos activités de gestion de blogs, de mise en ligne de certains fichiers, lors des efforts que vous entreprendrez pour vous constituer une liste de contacts et de prospects à qui vous vendrez vos produitsou une liste de revendeurs chargés de diffuser et de multiplier vos produits d’affiliation, ceci avec une plus grande simplicité qu’auparavant.
Je voudrais attirer votre attention sur un des hébergements les plus connus“Hostgator” au niveau duquel vous pouvez choisir un compte d’hébergement pour tout juste quelques dollars par mois. A ce stade, vous avez le choix entre plusieurs niveaux de services, je vous conseille tout de même de choisir un peu plus au dessus. En sus, vous pourrez progressivement, en fonction de vos moyens, adhérer et accéder à de nombreux autres produits et services…
Il existe d’autres hébergeurs bien connus comme GoDaddy, mais en général je recommande « Hostgator » du fait qu’il est utilisé par plusieurs spécialistes du marketing internet, sans que vous ayez à solutionner des problèmes de comptabilité.
Avant d’y accéder par votre souscription, pensez d’abord au nom de domaine qui conviendra pour votre site web. Il doit assez parlant, attrayant et englobant dans sa signification ou sa portée au cas ou décideriez de changer de perspectives ou d’orientation. Par exemple, si vous décidez de l’appeler « lesmeilleuresastucesduweb » et décidez par la suite d’intervenir sur Twitter ou sur divers autres thèmes, vous aurez peut-être alors besoin de changer et de retenir un nouveau nom de domaine plus parlant. Essayez alors un terme plus générique. Une autre question! Devriez-vous choisir une extension de nom de domaine avec la terminaison .com, .org, .net, etc. ? Très souvent, les gens retiennent beaucoup plus « quelquechose.com », mais c’est à vous de choisir. Normalement .com fait référence à communication, .org à organisation, .net à réseau. Pour ma part, j’ai commencé avec softhinking.com http://www.softhinking.com et je suis entrain de mettre en place http://www.softhinking.org qui va fédérer les activités de SOFThinking et d’autres services off line. SOFThinking.com sera le niveau marchand et SOFThinking.org, le niveau entité quifédère une multitude d’activités on line, donc sur le net et off lin pour des produits et services non numériques.
There is no doubt that you have seen those little “mini-ads” that pop up on websites throughout the web. Those little ads are something that you may someday place yourself on other people’s pages. For now, though, consider this – if you take those ads and place them on your blog, or your website. YOU will get paid anytime somebody clicks on them!
Go ahead to Google.com and sign up for their Adsense program. It is right there under “advertising programs” on the main page.Take your time and look around a bit.
If you have not already started your Wordpress blog, then you can go to Blogger.com and start a free blog there. (Wordpress is more versatile, so prepare to move to that eventually). Whatever topic you choose to write about on your blog, the ads that you are going to place will act like a chameleon and those ads will match that subject. (Thus “Ad-sense”)
Now go ahead in and practice making the little ads, and copying and pasting the proper code onto your website or blog. Make sure that you familiarize yourself with Wordpress, or Blogger enough so you know how to do this. I’m leaving some of those fine details up to you to research.
Some topics you choose to write about will actually be more lucrative than others. For instance, if you were to write about criminal law, there would be attorneys advertising their services which would yield a higher payout per click! Still, I suggest you write about a subject that you enjoy. The only challenge left is getting traffic to your website or blog so you can get those clicks! I’ll be talking about that shortly.
